Andrea
Secci
Filmmaker & Photographer

Hi! My name is Andrea Secci and I'm a photographer, filmmaker and teacher based in St Albans, UK. I lived in London since 2014 and I'm from Italy, precisely Sardinia.

I earned a BA Film Honours with Foundation Year in Media at Middlesex University in London. During this time, I've developed many transferable skills through working in management roles. I've been involved in a variety of filmmaking and photography projects outside of university with actors and more experienced filmmakers.
Now, I work as a branding photographer and co-founder at Andrea Secci Photography and Digi Espresso, background artist/performer in film, HETV and TVC productions and I teach filmmaking at the Pauline Quirke Academy in Hemel Hempsted.

It’s never easy to name favourite films or filmmakers. I am passionate about comedy/drama, crime/thriller and antihero stories. But in the end, it's all about the specific film.
If I had to name three directors, screenwriters, films and television series that are great inspirations to me, those would be:

DIRECTORS: Federico Fellini, Stanley Kubrick
and Paul Thomas Anderson.

SCREENWRITERS: David Chase, Quentino Tarantino and Charlie Kaufman.

FILMS: 8 1/2, Goodfellas and The Shawshank Redemption.

TELEVISION SERIES: The Sopranos, Breaking Bad & Better Call Saul, Ozark.

Through filmmaking, I am able to convert emotions that come from the deepest sides of my heart. It enables me to expose feelings and share them with other people.

This is my way to communicate. This is what makes me free.
